 The Ogdensburg Fire Department first became a career department during the Civil War years. We continue that tradition today with a staff of 31 members. During 2008, the department responded to 2,829 calls for assistance. Each of the four shifts operates with an Assistant Chief, Captain and five firefighters. The department has 2 firefighters who work in the Code Enforcement Office and are certified Code Enforcement officers. The department received an ISO rating of 4 in 1998. | |||||
