First marriage for both:

• At least 18 years of age: Both parties must be present; Proper ID required (i.e. driver's license, birth certificate)
• Sixteen to Seventeen years of age: Both parties must be present; Written consent of both parents and both parents of minor must be present when the marriage license is taken out; Proper ID required (i.e. driver's license, birth certificate)
• Fourteen to Fifteen years of age: Parental consent and a court order are needed; Proper ID required (i.e. driver's license, birth certificate)

Second marriage for either party:

• Both parties must be present
• Proper ID required
• Copy of each divorce decree with seal/stamp of the County Clerk showing the filing date

Fee is $40.00
24-hour waiting period once the license has been issued
License is valid for 60 days

For first time licensing:

• Your name, address, zip code, phone number and dog's name, breed and color, and year of birth. A valid rabies certificate and the spayed or neutered certificate (if applicable) is required.
• The yearly fee for a spayed or neutered dog is $10.00
• The yearly fee for an unspayed or unneutered dog is $18.00

• Wait for the renewal from Albany, complete the form and mail it along with the proper fee, current rabies certificate and a self-addressed, stamped envelope
• Cash, money orders and personal checks are all accepted
• Do not send cash through the mail
• Make checks or money orders payable to the City Clerk
