Application Requirements
Upon the filing of the application, fee and endorsement as provided in the preceding section, the City Clerk shall, on approval of the application by the Chief of Police of the City of Ogdensburg, issue to the applicant a license as provided in this section.
Each license shall be issued as of July 1 of each and every year and shall be valid to and including June 30 of the next succeeding year unless said license is suspended or revoked.
No license shall be granted pursuant to Chapter 161 - Precious Metals & Gems (PDF) to any person or dealer:
- Who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor within the ten (10) years preceding the date of the application.
- Who has been found by any court of the State of New York to have practiced a civil fraud, deceit or misrepresentation in the conduct of a business or business transaction.
- Whose license under Chapter 161 has been previously revoked.
Fees
A license fee of $50 must accompany each license application.
