Despite the rainy weather, the workers for Tuscarora moved ahead to set in place the new Lake Street Footbridge. The project continues to progress on schedule. The first section of the foot bridge arrived on-site Thursday, May 3rd and the subsequent sections arrived within days of the first. All four sections were put together by Tuscarora and finally put in place on May 8, 2012. Overall construction, including the new foot bridge being set and the old Lake Street Bridge removed, is expected to be completed in July, 2012. A ribbon cutting ceremony is planned for the grand opening.
